Simon Palmer, LLB
Founder/Former Director

Simon Palmer founded Palmer & Associates (now Powle & Hodson Lawyers) in 1995 after having practiced as a partner of Hesketh Henry in Auckland. Simon has a strong dose of legal genes with his father George and brother Rick both from Northland law firm Palmer Macauley and son James having joined him at Palmer & Associates for seven years.

Simon built up a thriving, upbeat legal practice, providing advice which invariably involved strategic planning and finding novel solutions to commercial issues - an ethos maintained by the team following his retirement after more than 40 years of legal practice. Simon has advised hundreds of clients over the years with a reputation as a brilliant yet pragmatic lawyer. He now enjoys a little more time with his family at his bush block on the Awhitu Peninsula.

Prior to his retirement Simon successfully concluded of one of New Zealand's largest 2017 commercial transactions. Powle & Hodson Lawyers succeeded Palmer & Associates following Simon's retirement in April 2017.
